One Day in the Winter - February 2013

 Every once in a while, winter just seems to disappear.

The skies part by Moses, and the sun sits around, acting like he's been there all along.
Never mind that it will be dark in just a few hours.

The old trail begins in a floral icebox, but soon climbs out of the low gloom


past giant ferns and fallen vegetation


 ancient trees in dark hollows, and young trees from a fire a century ago.

And that is that


As we dream of eternal springtime.
300 more days of rain...
